Choon Kee Restaurant Kuala Kangsar

It was majestic and beautiful town for a decent place to eat. It didn’t take us long to zoom in on Restoran Choon Kee. The place is brightly lit and lots of local folks were occupying table for 10 persons. Huge crowds equal good food

The mantis prawns were solid and tasty whilst the butter sauce or rather those tiny crumbs made of eggs are tasty without feeling oily.

In the background is a plate of salted fish beansprouts. Kuala Kangsar is between Ipoh and Taiping and therefore, the beansprouts are the fattest and juicest, as Ipoh is famous for her beansprouts, claimed to sprouted with spring water from the Tambun hills.
